Welcome to Stuck in the Middle Press, my publishing imprint, featuring a mix of reprints and original titles in a variety of genres. There are single short stories in e-book form and some longer works are also available in print. Click on the titles or covers to read excerpts.

The name is inspired by my initials—SMP—and the idea that most writers are in the middle of a bell curve between having a few sales on one end and being rich and famous like Stephen King on the other end!

Although it’s called self-publishing, I haven’t done it all by myself. So here’s a big shout-out to the people—editors, beta readers, givers of advice, and more—who have helped and supported me in various ways: Jeff Ayers, Kirsten Beyer, Jeff Ford, Ellen Hart, Sandra Immerman, William Kent Krueger, Kevin Lauderdale, William Leisner, Michael Allan Mallory, Nick Minecci, Aaron Rosenberg, Amy Sisson, Dayton Ward, and everyone else whom I’ve forgotten to list. And thanks to Tony Dierckins for designing the logo.
